My friend Galen began a project some time last year, collecting stories from various friends. He made a zine cd out of these stories under his original zine's namesake, Tulip. He asked me to share a story, any story, and I gave him the one about how I broke my wrist and acquired a gnarly hipper at Pat Duffy's party once upon a time. There are other stories that are pretty awesome, and even a prank phone call from Lord Jamal and friends, to the Lower East Side American Apparel. Galen's set up a site where you can listen to these stories for free at tulipparlor.com. Tulipparlor also has a calendar of literary events going on in NYC. I like zines and I'm really digging Galen's curation of short stories. Today, there are so many photos and photographers that convey every minute of every day, it's actually refreshing to hear short stories from strangers and friends.
Finally! New shirts at Autumn!! Stopped by the shop and was stoked to find Dave working on Spring stuff. Lots of rad product the next few weeks. Especially siked on this old Blind graphic. And yes, this is Dave's current printing set up, so support the shop and buy something!
