So lame. Between Emeryville and Oakland they couldn't figure a $5,000 a month deal on this completely unused space? In this failing economy all people can still think of is revenue even if it's just going to be an empty lot anyways. Oh yeah well now they see a bunch of skateboarders skating it so they'll probably build a drive thru dunkin donuts I guess. And I "love" it
( sarcasm ) when people try to marry "homelessness", "crime", and "liability" with places where "skateboarders congregate". The lesson here is, build something awesome while exposing cash potential, and people who don't get it will be weirded out, bummed, jealous, and get their bulldozers in stat. THEN they'll try to make money off it. I really like the fact a badge had to come tell this kid to leave. Nice fascist touch.
It's not a secret- I love having shit. I wouldn't mind having all four of these OJ wheels. I already have the pale green ones and they make me feel like a ninja on a cruiser for real. Super quiet, and you barely need to push. Lazy skating. I wish the crailtap store had better stuff. There's nothing like having a classic skate bag that you'll have for years to come. How often do I find myself wishing I held onto my old Mad Circle backpack from high school? Often. Floating pastel soft wheels on a white background, kind of unbeatable.
It's official- traveling to Europe for around 2 weeks in September. Wi-Fi ready at all stops. Heavy Discussion's European Work trip, time to dig up the lonely planet guides!! Will be traveling to London, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Photos will be taken, observations will be made. Twenty seven is looking like a good year.
