Uh, what about the fact that your bank is charging you every time you take your own money out of your account? What different service are they providing you that they weren't providing you last week to do this? I bank with Chase now, and I only changed from Bank of America because Chase is more convenient living in NY. If Bank of America gets away with charging their customers this $5 fee, it will encourage other banks to do the same. Occupy Wall St. is just a mirror of collective dissatisfaction with corporate greed. And even so, the greed doesn't end. It makes press releases about how much they suck.
Misunderstanding! Thought it was every swipe- but even so a monthly fee still sucks. A monthly $5 fee from everyone that banks with any bank is millions of dollars for the institution. A month. Again, what service is being provided that wasn't provided before? It's hard to justify additional fees, and it just makes banks more powerful because they control even more money. $5 a month today and what about tomorrow? All in all, a shitty situation.
