Saw Interstellar in Hong Kong Monday night and it was pretty bad ass. It's especially badass when you can drink beers legally inside. They even give you to-go cups with plastic bags specific for carrying beverages without spillage. How you might wonder? Basically the plastic bag is sealed into two compartments so the cups fit snugly. I was not sure what to expect when I was watching the movie, but between "Interstellar", "Gravity" and even "Guardians of the Galaxy".. Christopher Nolan does an incredible job directing this movie in three painless hours. If you like getting your heart strings pulled on and extraordinary visuals dealing with space/time without overboard CGI effects, this movie is worth checking out. Some people have labeled this part of Matthew McConaughey's acting career as the "McConissance"? Not sure if I'm spelling that right but it's actually pretty funny because it's true. This was the same guy in the Wedding Planner and yes at one point in my sensitive, feeble life I enjoyed watching that movie.

Side note... Guardians of the Galaxy also took me by surprise- ended up watching it streaming online and the soundtrack is pretty sick if you like nostalgic, once popular tunes from the 70's. The premise of GofG being that he is kidnapped by aliens sometime in the 70's while listening to mixtapes his dying mother gives to him. Hey that works for me? Tunes range from The Raspberries to Redbone. Pretty sweet. There's something erie and cool about imagining RedBone's "Come and get your love" echoing through space time. Reminds me of the Golden Records post I put up a few months ago.. Just legendary blips of Earth music floating around in space.

Shout out to the classics! All day. Here's to feeling good all the time!
